The investment funds are often founded by former successful entrepreneurs who have moved on to the next level and become venture capitalists, very often these funds have employees with a corporate background, non-entrepreneurial mindset, and MBA education.
People with such mindset often can have a hard time understanding an entrepreneur mindset, views, values, and priorities. It often causes misunderstandings and potential clashes on different levels. Particularly, during negotiations on deals attracting perspective startups and on the evaluation of risks and investment potential.
